There are seasons when God gives you answers.
And then there are seasons when He gives you one word.
No explanation.
No timeline.
No map showing you how everything will work out.
Just:
TRUST.
Trust is easy when the door opens, the prayer is answered, and everything begins falling into place.
But what about when nothing seems to be happening?
When you prayed—and you’re still waiting?
When you obeyed—and things got harder?
When you know God spoke, but you can’t see where He’s leading you?
That’s where trust becomes more than a word.
It becomes faith in motion.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 NKJV
God never said we would understand everything He does.
Sometimes we’re looking at one page while He’s holding the entire book.
We’re looking at one brushstroke while He already sees the finished painting.
We’re looking at today while God already knows tomorrow.
And sometimes the hardest place to trust Him is in the silence.
But silence doesn’t mean nothing is happening.
A seed buried beneath the ground looks like nothing from the surface. Yet underneath, roots are forming and life is developing.
The same can be true in your life.
God may be working deeply in places you simply cannot see yet.
So trust the open doors—and the closed ones.
Trust the answer—and the delay.
Trust His direction when it makes sense and when it doesn’t.
And when you’re struggling to trust Him with what’s ahead, look behind you.
Remember the things you once worried about.
Remember the nights you didn’t know how you would make it through.
Remember the doors He opened, the strength He gave you, the provision that came, and the moments when grace somehow met you exactly where you were.
The God who carried you then has not become unreliable now.
Maybe you’ve been asking God for another sign.
Another confirmation.
Another answer.
But perhaps today He isn’t giving you another paragraph.
Perhaps He’s giving you ONE WORD.
TRUST.
Trust His timing.
Trust what He told you.
Trust the process you cannot see.
Trust Him with the people you cannot control.
Trust Him with the things you cannot fix.
Trust Him with the prayer that still hasn’t been answered.
And trust Him with the part of your story that currently makes absolutely no sense.
You don’t have to know what comes next.
You only have to know Who is going with you.
So take the next step.
Say the next prayer.
Do the next right thing.
And leave tomorrow in His hands.
TRUST.
You don’t have to see what God is doing to trust that He is doing something.
Sometimes one word says it all. Sometimes one word is all we need to hear.
